Six Figure Mentors – System Exposed!

By | February 4, 2016

Name: Six Figure Mentors (SFM)

Price: $29.95 + $97/month + $297 + $2,500/year + up to $20,000

Owners: Stuart Ross and Jay Kubassek

Is Six Figure Mentors a Scam?

This question is asked by many of us and there are amounts of good and bad reviews. I´m not an affiliate of SFM, but I have experienced the program first-hand and I´m going to share my personal and truthful experience. If you are looking for an insider review on SFM, you have come to the right place.

Before we jump to the conclusion, I would like to first say that the SFM does provide good knowledge in Internet Marketing and its members. The problem is with its cost and its roadblocks which I´m going to discuss in this review. Fundamentally is SFM not a scam.

I agree with most reviews mentioning that the knowledge of Internet Marketing, which SFM is providing, could be found on the Internet for free. The problem is that even if you have this knowledge, without a proper step-by-step guidance, you wouldn’t probably know how to apply them.

Joining programs like SFM is necessary to get you started, but there are better programs out there offering better curriculum and at a much lower price.

In order to join SFM, you have to pay a subscription fee and of $29.95 and complete a form that asks questions like:

  1. What kind of monthly income are you currently accustomed to?
  2. What do you currently do for a living?
  3. What is your monthly income goal for the next 6 months?
  4. Can you devote at least 7 hours a week to training, personal and professional development?
  5. How much would you estimate you´ve currently spend on information and coaching products?
  6. Where would you like to live: the city, beach, mountains?

and several more …

The $29.95 will NOT get you to the full system of SFM. It will just unlock the introductory course that explains what you will be doing in the program and how you can make money online. In contrast, this alternative program gives you much more introductory knowledge on how to make money online for FREE.

SFM Application – The inside

Like I´ve mentioned above, with a $29.95 application fee, you will be able to access only to the “Module 1 – Introduction” course. In this first module, you will be introduced to the Make Money process on the Internet, the different types of advertisement, why you need a website, why you need to build a list and why is it important to provide value to readers.

It´s exactly what you see in the image on the right side.

You will also be introduced to several products within the system of SFM and why you should promote them. Here is a list of products within their system:

  1. SFM Digital Business System ($297 + $97$/month)
  2. SFM Elite Mastermind ($2500)
  3. Digital Business Lounge ($37 or $67)
  4. Simple Lead Capture ($29.95/month)
  5. Graphix Creator ($99)
  6. Simple Traxx ($9.95/month)
  7. Digital Expert Academy – Silver ($2,500)
  8. Digital Expert Academy – Gold ($8,000)
  9. Digital Expert Academy – Platinum ($11,000)
  10. Digital Expert Academy – Black ($20,000)

There are not much knowledge or actionable items you can get from the Module 1 Introductory course. You have to upgrade your membership to “Basic” in order to get “Partial” access (more discussed below) to the SFM with the Attraction Module. The cost of the upgrade to the “Basic” membership is $197 plus a monthly fee of $97 if you upgrade within 3 days.

The SFM Digital Business System – Getting Deep

The system consists of a total 5 modules. I have already gone through Module 1 with you above.

Sneak Peek: Module 2 – Your Blueprint

Module 2 consists of 4 sections:

  1. Orientation and Blueprint workshop
  2. Digital Lifestyle Blueprint
  3. 90 Day Action Plan
  4. Business Plan

Every step of the program I was hit with a road block where I was forced to complete the certain tasks in order to move forward. This was something that I feel irritated about.

I got stuck at Part 1 of this Module 2 because I was forced to contact my SFM system consultant to get a registration link to a Live workshop. This workshop is where new members congregate to share their life experiences, why they want to be in the SFM and what they want to do to change their lives.

In the 4 parts of this Module 2 you have to complete several trajectory worksheets which evaluate your current life (past 10 years), your circle of influence (people around you that influence your behavior) and determine the life you want in the next 12 months.

I wanted actually to process on with the other modules of SFM because I do not see the value of this Module 2 and its exercises because I have gone through similar exercises before, though not with SFM, and I´m not about to do it again. I was stuck at part 1 for a day and roadblocks keep on coming.

SFM technically “forces” you to complete the courses in a span of more 30 days where you need spend another $97 for the membership renewal. Smart Marketing, but it´s irritating the consumers. This only proofs that SFM is not looking after the interests of its members.

An Internet Marketing Educational platform that genuinely want to help you. Find out more!

Before completing Module 2, you have to complete and submit a survey which asked questions like:

  1. How do you plan to pursue your new business promoting SFM?
  2. How much can you afford to pay for SFM products?
  3. How much is my monthly budget for promotion of SFM?

Unfortunately, there are no separate training on a promotion of other products you are passionate about.

Sneak Peek: Module 3 – System Setup

Module 3 teaches you how to promote SFM. All video training in this module talks about how to set up the SFM system to start promoting the SFM business.

The fact is that the SFM is not set up to promote other businesses, just SFM. If you are a seasoned Internet Marketer who is looking for new and exciting knowledge, you can forget it, because you can never find knowledge that is unrelated to SFM.

Up until module, I don´t think you receive any valuable information. Don´t get me wrong, I am sure that there will be at least some valuable information on the SFM modules, but it´s slow to come and I´m running out of patience trying to squeeze some knowledge out of SFM.

In order to move toward to Module 4 you have to schedule a Skype call with the SFM Business Strategist. He will interview you to determine if you are “suitable” to upgrade to the Elite Membership. After this Skype call you can get the Module code to unlock the next Module, the Module 4 – yet another roadblock. The SFM Business Strategist will surely use the answers that you´ve provided in the questions 2 and 3 above against you to get you to sign up to Elite Membership.

I have really expressed interest in learning what SFM has to offer. I am not willing to promote SFM after hitting on so many roadblocks. Each step I take with SFM forces me to promote SFM and I don´t feel that I´m getting the value what I paid for.

Like I´ve mentioned above, I truly feel that SFM is forcing you to stay as an SFM member for as long as possible so that they could collect as much renewal fee from you.

To be honest, when I first joined SFM, I was excited about the program and I wanted to promote the product because of the many raved reviews I´ve read. But after personally experiencing the program first hand, I can´t recommend it because I am thoroughly disappointed in the program.

Why is SFM not suitable for Advance Marketers?

You can hardly get much knowledge from SFM because almost all of the training modules are geared towards promoting SFM. I think that you will run out of patience like I did. If you do not intend to promote SFM, joining the program is only a waste of time and money.

As Advanced Marketer, you will not be willing to pay thousands or ten thousands of dollars to get the knowledge right? We know that that kind of knowledge on internet marketing does not cost that much.

My Sincere Advice to You

I believe that there is some valuable information in the SFM program and the learning environment is good for beginners. I think that the program is way over-priced and it is not worth the money. The cost of the highest membership (Digital Experts Academy Black) is equivalent to the cost of a university degree. At least you get a university degree once you complete the course, but in SFM there is no guarantee of success.

The SFM program is conditioned for you to promote SFM and to make money from it. It´s not meant to teach you to be a true affiliate marketer because a true affiliate marketer is one who can select any business that he/she is passionate about.

I´ll be honest with you, I could have promoted SFM and make lots of money with it, given the high prices of the SFM products and the commission level, but I chose not to because it will be unethical for me to do it.

If you are serious about making money online, but you have a budget to look out for, I would suggest that you check this program out instead. I have personally tried and tested this great program and I find it beneficial to novice and advanced marketers.

      Hi Tom,
thanks for your comment. I wanted to help users not to land on sites they don´t want to be. I don´t think that you have to pay that big price for knowledge.
      Best regards

    Hey Andrew,

I had never heard of SFM before reading your post. This is ridiculously expensive. Thank God there are other programs cheaper and they actually work!

    1. Andrew Post author

      Hi Tasleem,
There are many expensive programs related to online marketing. I know that a cheaper and better one exists. My favourite is actually Wealthy Affiliate and can just recommend it to you.

  3. Susanne Helgesen

Good review. I Happen to know the SFM from the inside. A lot of really great people and also very good training material. It is however too expensive and however good the people and education, not worth the price. I must say though that the commissions you can earn at the highest level (Black) is substantial.

Thing is – as is said – you can get great programs for a fraction of the investment. Would NOT classify it as a scam though.

    1. Andrew Post author

      Hi Susanne!
Thank you for your comment! It´s important to present SFM from inside and everybody can decide – to be a part of that community or not. If the goal of someone is an affiliate marketing for SFM, then it´s maybe a way which is on the other hand really expensive.
      Best wishes for you

    Hi Andrew,

Thanks for you honest review of the SFM. I have been their member for 6 months and it was very inspirational experience. I must admit Stuart Ross (the founder) deserves a credit as a speaker and a sales man. He was the one to get my interest in online marketing and I spent following six months as a basic member $197 + $97 per month. At the beginning I though I will be taught how to choose a niche and make money as a affiliate marketer. But the further it went the more I realised is that the main focus is to sell SFM products through their platforms. There was not much information available on SEO or copywriting or any other basics at that level of membership and even simple PPC course cost £2000. There is a lot of inspiration, but no step by step instructions on how to do things. So if you lacking on inspiration it worth trying, if you need practical knowledge at the reasonable cost, then this is not the best option in my opinion.

    1. Andrew Post author

      Hey Anatoly,
I really appreciate your comment, thank you so much. It´s true what you are writing about – frustration and a lack of practical knowledge. On the other side is Stuart Ross really a great speaker and has a lot of motivational videos with a huge amount of inspiration.
Thank you for your objective comment.
      Best regards

I’ve never heard about Six Figures Mentors before, but going through your review I would be able to compare them to other companies offering similar products online.
When choosing which products you want, do you need to go from one to ten, as some seem to overlap? Are these programs really worth their price as some of them are really expensive?
Are you still using the SFM?

    1. Andrew Post author

      Hi, Ellie!
Thank you very much for your comment. I spent a lot of time at SFM and unfortunately I didn’t know at the beginning that it´s not really for me.
      1. You need to pay at SFM to have the possibility to achieve the next module. It´s not possible to do new modules without paying and parallel there are big rocks on the road like Skype calls, live session etc.
      2. I don´t think that the programs worth their price. There are much better and cheaper programs like Wealthy Affiliate.

      3. After I canceled my membership there I did a big research because I didn’t want to fall in the same “scam” hole. Then and found Wealthy Affiliate and there I´m still a member of a friendly community which helps me a lot.
I hope I could help you with my answers and feel free to contact me
      Best wishes

The application fee does seem quite cheap and you can get information for it. There are many upsells there which sound confusing. I suppose I would know more if I signed up though. As you said there are alternatives out there so I think I will check them out first.

    1. Andrew Post author

      Hi Owain!
The application fee is really only $29.95 but it will NOT get you to the full system of SFM. It will just unlock the introductory course that explains what you will be doing in the program and how you can make money online. The upsells are more expensive and it´s really confusing and you get frustrating with the time.
There are better alternatives and the best one I think is Wealthy Affiliate.
Thanks a lot for your comment

  7. Simon

    Hi Andrew,
Thanks for exposing another scam on the web, Six Figure Mentors. There’s too many out there to mention.

I too have been exposed to this type of behaviour and it hurts because half of the time you don’t realise what’s involved until you’ve paid to get in. People beware.

I’m a member of Wealthy Affiliate, I see that’s your#1 recommendation and I can vouch for them.
WA are legitimate, so much so, you can hop inside and give it a try for nothing and see what you think. No credit cards or anything silly like that, do your own review.

There is more free at WA than most paid for services on the net. What’s more, they only have two types of membership. Free or premium, so you know where you stand.

    Thanks Andrew,

    1. Andrew Post author

      Thanks Simon,
I really appreciate your comment. We did a great decision to join Wealthy Affiliate. Unfortunately there is to many websites with scams and sometimes it´s not easy to see the scams at the beginning. Wealthy Affiliate has given me a few new ideas and lot more.
      Best regards

  8. Jana Perkins

Wow. This SFM program sounds like they are just in it to get your money with all the renewel fees being collected and the high cost which is comparable to college tuition. Reading this review, I can see how you became impatient. I would have. I am glad Wealthy Affliliate exists because it blows these wastes of time like SFM out of the water. Thanks for the review.

    1. Andrew Post author

Hey Jana! Thank you for your comment. It´s really sometimes crazy in these online businesses. I do think the same about Wealthy Affiliate and I´m happy to be a member of that great community.

  9. Melissa

Wow! Thanks for the review on SFM, I haven’t seen this program but I’ve been scammed by others. Upon reading your material I did ask myself the question, “how much FREE information CAN you get if you just googled online marketing yourself” I am sure there is a lot of information out there if you searched long enough. How else could you go wrong with Wealthy Affiliate when it’s for free!

    Thanks for the info!

    1. Andrew Post author

Hi Melissa! Thanks a lot for your comment. It´s really not easy to find the right way today. There are so many scams online. And Wealthy Affiliate is really the best way to get help to earn money online.
      Best wishes to you

  10. Kenny Lee

I think the pricing for SFM is ridiculously on the high. I’ve been getting quality training and information at Wealthy Affiliate and I’m only paying a small fraction of the price. And that comes with no upsells and free webhosting for 25 websites. I couldn’t have asked for more.

    1. Andrew Post author

      Hi Kenny!
It´s true, the price is really very high and there are better programs which are cheaper. The training at Wealthy Affiliate is one of the best ones.

  11. Una

Oh yes, I can’t see the pictures you’ve inserted, it just shows .png file names.
I’m not sure if that’s the case with other readers?
    All the best to you

    1. Andrew Post author

Hi Una, thanks. I hope it works now.
      Best wishes, Andrew

  12. Una

Thank you for this useful and detailed review.
If hasn’t stumbled upon this site before, but I had the similar experience with other platforms. Requesting of one’s credit card information before one even enters introductory material is the first sign for me that something is not right. On the other side, platforms that give initial value without reaching into one’s pocket are way better, as you recommended yourself.
Thank you again, I believe this guidance will be useful for many, as it is so hard to find a way in the dark valley of Internet.

    1. Andrew Post author

Thanks Una, it´s really hard nowadays to find the right “internet” way. And it´s really true with the credit card. That is a sign many times that something is wrong.
      Best wishes
